Online Poll
We closed our latest One-Click Quick-Poll after 4 days and we had 105 votes submitted. Thank you to everyone who took the time to select the option that most applied to their intent on when to return to the bowling green.
The voting showed that around 72% of bowlers will be ready to bowl for the start of the new season. Then 18% are waiting for their vaccine jabs before returning to the green with the remaining 10% spread out with later or no dates in mind at all.
You can all work out that this will mean a potential shortfall in bowlers for the start of the season and we would encourage clubs and team captains to start contacting their bowlers to be aware of how many bowlers will be making themselves available for selection for the resumption of league bowling and more important how many will not be available yet.
The final breakdown of the 105 votes cast is below.
I don't know the age range of the other respondents, but I am 66 and will be having my second jab on April 1st. So if we were to look at these results in relation to veterans leagues and then look on the positive side the majority if not all of the 19% (if veterans) waiting for the vaccinations will have been vaccinated, so hopefully they will be ready when the leagues start and less disruption will be caused.
