One more new team joins Winter League

We have a second new team joining the League after Christmas to fill the gap created by an extension to the Division 10 season. Skel Windmill B will inherit the playing record of Lindley Lib D after the Christmas break and take over their fixtures for the remaining seven fixtures starting on Monday 5 January.

It is no surprise that a second new team joining the League comes from a club with a team already in the League. The Skel Windmill A team only joined the League in October this year but once bowlers get a taste of the competition, it becomes addictive and the demand for places increases. The Skel Windmill B team join the Brockholes E team that was the first team to come forward to join the League yesterday after Tuesday's announcement of three vacancies becoming available. They will play at Netherton Con on 7 Mondays up to 16 February and will then be full members of the League for the 2026-27 season.

One more team is required to fill the final gap created by the three teams withdrawing, as they are unable to complete the extended 2025-26 season fixtures. Any team wanting to take the last vacancy should contact the League Secretary for full details or to register to join the League.
