As predicted this week's posers proved the undoing of most, in fact of all but one. The naming of Green B was beyond every entry except one. That was Bob Haigh who correctly identified the green at Dobcross.
I asked Bob how he knew the answer and he replied ....
"This has nothing to do with my Bowling knowledge but I am sat at home watching a TV program about Brass Bands and one of the bands has just turned up at Dobcross Band and Social Club for a practice and warm-up and as they got off the bus the view panned across a bowling green that looked awfully like answer B. "
How right he was and Bob also identified the other two greens in Name the Green 4 as Crows Nest Park in Dewsbury and West Yorkshire Sports at Sandal and that moved him closer to the leader Jeff Mellor who also got the other two correct.
I must thank Jim Baxter of Milnsbridge for the Dobcross photograph who also assures me that the green is within 15 miles of Huddersfield he travels there every week during the summer season to play for a team there.
