Veterans League
The top individual competition in the Veterans League calendar is the Rose Bowl KO competition open to all League bowlers. The opening rounds were played at two greens yesterday and this is the first action in this competition since 2019. The epic final that time around saw Mick Cox (Lockwood Con) beat Tony Butterfield (Kirkheaton Con). Both those last finalists were eliminated at the first hurdle this year with reigning Champion Mick Cox going down 18-21 to Ian Briggs of Longwood. Tony Butterfield lost out to Inter-District bowler Dave Pollard of Cowcliffe by 12-21.
All the results are below along with the draw for the next round of the competition which will be played at Milnsbridge BC (to be confirmed) on Thursday 7 July.
