World Heritage Day 2026 is actually 10 days from 11-20 September and this year extends to crown green bowling in Yorkshire. A Round-Robin competition which is sponsored by the Leeds Civic Trust with free entry.

This annual competition for The Heritage Cup - played in a round robin format bringing people from across Yorkshire to celebrate the heritage of our wonderful sport of Crown Green Bowling. FREE entry into the competition and FREE for spectators.

FREE entry into the competition and FREE for spectators. We invite everyone to come and celebrate Crown Green Bowling at Harehills Park Bowling Club with this wonderful competition. Come and enjoy the tranquillity of Harehills Park and have a go at bowls whilst watching some of the best bowling there is to offer on the prize green that is in Harehills Park.


One of the oldest clubs in the city of Leeds, with records dating back to 1906 we can't wait to welcome you for a cuppa and a biscuit, learn more about the wonderful sport of crown green bowls and help us keep this part of history for another 100 years


All players interested in entering the competition to contact Laura, the club secretary by email at harehillsparkbc@outlook.com, this will be limited to the first 32 players. All other guests are welcome to just turn up on the day!
