Preview of Monday's fixtures in Divisions 4 &10

There is an important fixture at the foot of the Division 4 table this week as bottom team Lindley Lib C meet up with Brockholes A who are one point and two places above them in the table. Neither can afford to see a gap develop between the teams if they are to steer clear of playing at this level next season. Both teams had good results last week as Lindley Lib C had a good 6-2 win over Linthwaite Hall A whilst Brockholes A took 4 points off the leaders, Primrose Hill Lib. So with both teams in good form we look forward to a close outcome and avoiding a relegation place as the reward.
However between the two strugglers sits Huddersfield Recreation Club A who have suffered 0-8 defeats to the top two teams in the division in their last two matches. They really need to break that sequence but that may not be the outcome of a match against the third-placed team, Elland WMC. Interesting times in Division 4.
After being held by the Brockholes side last week, the leaders, Primrose Hill Lib, will be looking to bounce back to form when they take on the up-and-down team from Linthwaite Hall A. This is a team that alternates wins and losses, never having the same result twice and it is their turn to win this week, so maybe bad news for the leaders.
Netherton Con A are looking to close the six-points gap to the leaders when they take on Milnsbridge B who will be looking to improve on their two wins from six fixtures to ensure that they get drawn in the right direction and avoid being pulled into the drop zone.

Hemplow B have decided to withdraw from the Division 10 competition after the Christmas break, as is their right, after teams were offered an unexpected extension to their seasons. They will want to sign off with an upsurge in results starting this Monday when they face the top-of-the-table team, Thongsbridge.
The top three teams are all protecting unbeaten records with Rastrick level on points with the leaders and due to meet the Outlane B side this week. Both these teams have signed up to be part of the extended season and both will be looking to add to their win columns as we head towards the Christmas break before resuming affairs at Netherton Con in the New Year.
Skel Windmill expect to continue to feature at the top end of the table after playing a Brockholes D team still looking for a first win of the season and it would be a great achievement to deliver that target this week. Their opponents are unbeaten after playing the top three teams in the division in their first four fixtures so their table position is a little understated and they remain under the promotion radar at present but that could all change very soon. The two Lindley Lib teams complete the Monday programme when they meet up to sort out bragging rights and the right to remain clear of the relegation places.
