Only the top two divisions in the 10-Man League had League fixtures this week but there was a major shift in matters at the top of Division 1 as Marsh United 'A' lost for the first time this season to allow Kirkheaton Con 'A' to extend their lead at the top and open up a 7-point lead over all their rivals.
That defeat for Marsh United was at home to Golcar Lib 'A' by 2-7 and enables the Golcar side to move closer into third place just 2-points behind last week's opponents and record the only away win of the day in the top division. Kirkheaton Con 'A' kept their foot on the accelerator when scoring an 8-1 home win over Lindley BC 'A' and Cowcliffe moved into fourth position after a big 8-1 home win over Waterloo.
Different fortunes this week for last season's top two teams as Elland C&BC 'A' lost 3-6 at Rastrick and Lockwood Con 'A' won 7-2 at home over Lindley Lib 'A' which put them into the top half of the table for the first time this year. There was a good 7-2 home win for Meltham which allowed them to swap places in the table with their Clayton West opponents.
Milnsbridge 'A' also extended their lead at the top of the Division 2 table to 3-points after a 6-3 home win over Broad Oak 'A' with Shepley losing 3-6 at Thongsbridge 'A' to drop two places to fourth. Bradley & Colne wrapped up their first win in three matches at home and claim 2nd place and Almondbury BC 'B' moved third after beating a nine-man Lockwood Con 'B' side 8-1.
There was just one white-wash 9-0 win this week and that fell to Slaithwaite who overwhelmed Brockholes 'B' who remain bottom and 9 points adrift from safety. A drop of four places for Hemplow 'A' after losing for the first time this season when they went down 2-7 at Thorpe Green and the closest scoreline of the day was a 5-4 away win for Lowerhouses who claimed the aggregate bonus points with a 125-124 scoreline at Netherton Con 'A'.
