Winter League
A preview of the Division 2 fixtures to be played on Wednesday 15 December
With Division 2 leaders Meltham on their bye-week attention turns to the confrontation of the 2nd and 3rd placed teams as Lindley Lib take on Springwood 'A'. Five points between the two teams and Springwood will have to take all 8 points if they are to move back into the promotion places. Lindley Lib are the form team having won their last four matches and their only defeat all season being to the leaders. The pair are 16-points ahead of fourth-placed Denby Dale who have started an upward turn in results over the last few weeks. They have every chance of extending that run with a match against bottom-of-the-table Paddock I&C. this Wednesday.

A good win for Huddersfield Recreation Club 'A' this Wednesday against Thorpe Green 'B' could take them above their opponents and out of the relegation places for the first time this season and a second win of the campaign is long overdue with their last win being on the opening day of the season.
Almondbury BC and Jackson Bridge are locked together on 22 points in mid-table with only 8 points aggregate difference separating them at present. Both have lost their last two matches so a turnaround for the winner of this fixture is imminent.
This set of fixtures will complete the first half of the season for all 9 teams and we will be including a Half-Term Report on how things have gone at Springwood both on and off the green later in the week. Spectators are very welcome for these matches to be played at Springwood starting at 12noon on Wednesday.
