Bill and Bob were playing in a Dearne and Don League match. Over halfway through the game and after 3 bowls had been sent at an end Bob realized that he didn’t know where the jack was. There was a good reason he didn’t know, Bill had never sent it and it was behind him. This begs the question, what on earth were they aiming at?
I am grateful to Paul Rangeley for this series of (Paul says) true tales about the behaviour of some bowlers that he has witnessed over the years. Maybe you would like to add your own tale to this series.
The names of the individuals are withheld to save embarrassment but are known as Bill and Bob. You may recognise Bill or Bob as someone in your club.
