A preview of the 6-Man League fixtures scheduled for Monday 15 May

The 6-Man League programme resumes after a three-week break with the top attraction in Division 1 being the meeting of the teams in 2nd and 3rd positions. Despite their unbeaten record Netherton Con sit a place behind 2nd in the table Skel Windmill 'A' as the two teams go head-to-head on the Netherton green this Monday.
The Skelmanthorpe side have made a good start to their season after last year's promotion but Marsh United 'A' have made an even better start after coming up from Division 2 along with them. Unbeaten so far and sitting clear at the top of the table. This week they have a home match against Golcar C&BC and will be hoping that their two closest rivals share out the points between them.

Reigning Champions, Shepley, will be aiming to get their season back on track when they travel to meet bottom-of-the-table Longwood and anything less than a convincing win would be a major setback to their hopes of retaining their title for a third successive year.
Elland C&BC are struggling to justify their inclusion in the top division after joining the League this season but a meeting with a fellow bottom-four rival may trigger a better outcome but any visit to the challenging Crosland Moor green needs a good performance to collect any points at all.
Lockwood Con are still looking for their first win of the season and will have high hopes of achieving that this Monday when they host Thongsbridge 'A'. The Milnsbridge 'A' v Brockholes 'A' encounter completes the Division 1 programme with the visitors looking to build on their solid start to the season.
Paddock I&C have made a tremendous start to their Division 2 season and lead the way at present but will be pushed all the way this week when visiting third-placed Golcar Lib. They have the cushion of a 4-point lead over the chasing pack with four teams bunched together on 14 points.
As these four teams all avoid each other this week that situation could rumble on with Lindley Lib 'B' having the better Aggregate For total serving them well and they may have to rely on that again after this week's trip to play Skel Windmill 'B'. Slaithwaite are in that pack as well and they have a home match against Clayton West who are just one point behind that pack of four and could leapfrog them all with one big win.
Denby Dale are still looking to justify their first season placing in Division 2 and a home match against mid-table Milnsbridge 'B' may provide such an opportunity. Almondbury Lib and Linthwaite Hall play each other with the loser likely to be condemned to the second relegation place currently occupied by Almondbury Lib so a good incentive for both teams.
Division 3 leaders Greenhead Park credentials will be closely tested at Holmfirth 'B' this Monday whilst second-placed Marsh Lib have to play nearest rivals Thongsbridge 'C' on Friday before the placings can be ratified for this week's Fantasy League totals.
The bottom three teams are all still seeking their first wins of the season and all three have home fixtures this week. Brockholes 'B' probably have the best chance of reaching that level when hosting fourth-from-bottom Primrose Hill Lib whose one win to date did come away from home so they will be looking to attain that level of performance. Hemplow entertain Meltham and Shepley 'B' have the most difficult fixture of the three when they take on Marsh United 'B'.
The other scheduled fixture already has the look of a mundane mid-table match with Thongsbridge 'B' at home to New Mill but a big win for either could trigger a rise up the table.
