YCCGBA Memo re Risk Assessment and more

Communication from CEO YCCGBA Date 25.03.21 Audience : Districts to forward to Clubs, Leagues and Associations Back to Bowling

At last the news we have all been waiting for.

Risk Assessments: For any winter league that is re-commencing please use your current risk assessment which will remain valid until the end of April 2021, we would recommend you re-visit everything to make sure signage is up to date and complies with current rules and any local measures introduced by local authorities.

For leagues that are starting up please ensure ALL clubs have completed a risk assessment and sent it to your District Secretary and confirmation that the club will adhere to the rules as laid out by BCGBA. YCCGBA will be asking leagues to confirm that all participating clubs have confirmed this.

Coaching and Development. I mentioned previously that YCCGBA are looking to help districts with qualified coaches in our County this will assist with the back to bowls campaign.

To help with this YCCGBA will make a bursary available to one person from each district association on successful completion of the level one coaching award. YCCGBA will contribute £ 65 towards the £ 130 cost. If funds are available we would encourage districts to make up the balance of the qualification cost. In the first instance please give names and contact details to your district secretary before 10th April 2021, and then forwarded to me on the same date.

If any district does not take up this offer then the YCCGBA contribution will be available to another district. If we get enough names then the course may be available locally.

Development Officer. New post of County Development Officer has been created. We are the only County Association without a dedicated development officer although I am aware several districts have a similar role. Expenses will be made available and the aim is for the Development officer to head up a small team throughout the County

Keep safe everyone
