A preview of the Winter League Division 3 matches being played on Monday 17 October

None of the eight Division 3 teams got off to an opening day flyer last Monday with four close results indicating a tight division with plenty to interest teams at both ends of the table. Of course, eventually strong contenders will emerge but for the moment who that could be is far from obvious teasing all the Fantasy League entrants for now.

There were three winning teams and one drawn match last week and the three winners have been kept apart in the Week 2 fixture programme. Opening day leaders Huddersfield Recreation Club 'B' will aim to build on that result when they take on Paddock I&C 'A' whilst Springwood 'B' will be hoping to continue their bright start to the campaign when they take on Almondbury BC 'A'.
