Winter League
In the first five seasons of the Winter League's existence, there have been 7 occasions when teams have completed the season with a 100+ points. Yet all but one of those achievements was clocked up in a 16-match season and that outlier was last season when Almondbury BC B reached that target in a 14-match season.
Below is a table showing all 7 times that the century total has been reached in the League's 5 years existence. These 7 teams are now members of the exclusive Winter League 100 Club. However the first season (2020-21) can be ignored with only 7 teams in each Division providing a 12-week season never completed because of the COVID impact.
The second table below looks at the top points totals for each of the 8 Divisions that already have a history of one or more years. This shows that 4 of the 8 Divisions have still to have the 100+ points total mark passed by any team. Maybe we will get some of those milestones passed this season.
Looking at the largest total ever recorded was the 117 that Hanging Heaton A established in the 2023-24 season but as previously mentioned this was in a 16-match season. So I took off the last two results from that table which added up to 13 points so subtracting that from their 117 total left a 14-match total of 104.
Then there are two occasions when teams passed the 100 points marker but still didn't win that Division's title. Whatever way you look at the figures, they all mark great achievements and leave some targets to be aimed at in the coming season. With 5 Divisions still waiting for the first ever 100+ totals to be recorded, there are plenty within striking range of some of the teams this season.
