Winter Cup
The draw for the Winter Cup Finals Day was made by the League's Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary on Monday morning and is below. The top half of the draw contains 3 of the 4 Division 1 bowlers whilst just Mike Thornton from a Division 1 team is in the bottom half of the draw.
The action starts at 1:00pm at Milnsbridge BC this Thursday (14 April) and the two Division 2 bowlers involved will start with a +2 handicap whilst the two Division 3 bowlers have a handicap advantage of +4.
The eight finalists are able to go on the green to practice from 12.15pm on Finals Day. The BCGBA Dress Code will apply to all bowlers and we have an official BCGBA Referee, Ray Tunnacliffe, overseeing all events.
We are experimenting with coloured armbands as listed in the draw below to help spectators identify bowlers in each match and a free match programme is available to all. At the end of the day we will know the first winner of the Winter Cup and theirs will be the first name engraved on the trophy. The presentation of the Winter Cup to the winner will be made by the two individual sponsors, Garry Senior and Tony Butterfield, at the end of the day along with mementoes for the two finalists to retain.
