Winter Cup
We have the first two qualifiers for the Winter Cup Finals Day after the 27 Division 1 bowlers spent 5 hours on Wednesday sorting out the pecking order. Definitely through to Finals Day are Adrian 'Crafty' Cooper (Kirkheaton Con) and Mike Thornton (Lindley BC) who were the top two bowlers on the day. Two very close Semi-Final ties left Graham Hirst and Lorraine Hirst still in contention to progress through as highest scoring Semi-Final losers across the three qualifying rounds.
The first Sem-Final saw the top two bowlers in the Division 1 Averages table for the last Winter League season going head-to-head for a place in the Final with 'Crafty' coming out on top this time, a reverse of the league averages outcome. A 21-20 win of top notch bowling highlighted a day of high quality bowling with many close encounters before the top four emerged. The other Semi-Final saw Mike Thornton come through as the winner in a half of the draw with no easy matches. His 21-19 win left Lorraine still very much in contention for the second top score bowler which would see her qualify for Finals Day as well.
Finals Day is Thursday 14 April starting at 1.00pm at Milnsbridge. The results of the Thursday and Friday Qualifying Rounds will be added to the website shortly.

The top two losing Semi-Finalists across the three qualifying days will also join the top six bowlers in Finals Day. Currently Graham Hirst (20) and Lorraine Hirst (19).
