Will Division 10 follow Springwood first day?

The Forecast Game had a rude opening day awakening for the 17 entrants (including me) who had picked Elland WMC as their favourite to take the Division 3 title. The full matchday report will be online shortly as soon as the Plumbers Arms kicks the Lockwood Con boys out of their concert room so that they can input the result of their Wednesday match onto Bowlsnet! It is so easy to get it completely wrong as proven on the Division 3 opening day of the season and are there more surprises lined up for us next week as four more Divisions begin their 2026-27 season?

The first of those Divisions to kick start their season is Division 10 at the new Winter League venue of Skel Central on Monday. You've already had the New Season Preview and chosen your selections. Only two teams feature in the title race apparently, and they are the two Skel Central teams on their own green. If you want to be different then input your Division 10 entry to override any previous entries. If you can't remember if you completed a Division 10 Entry Form then have a look through this list of all the 30 bowlers who have already submitted their entry. If your name isn't included then I haven't received your Division 10 entry as at 5.00pm on Wednesday.

Some of you have made multiple entries. Not sure if that was a lack of confidence in the system to capture those entries or you were updating your preferred selections. You are only allowed one entry so where additional entries have been received I have always taken the most recent submission as your one and only entry. This means that you can update your selections anytime up to the deadline and these will become your sole entry to that Division's selections.

We will be providing regular updated tables throughout the season. Scoring is based on the totals for all 10 Divisions: Champions:  1st position = 3 points 2nd position = 1 point Relegation:   Bottom position = 3 points 2nd to Bottom Position = 1 point

You can still enter the competition by completing the Entry Form for the other 9 Divisions.The next deadline is for your Division 10 selections which is midnight Sunday 25 October. Four more Divisions begin their season next week so now is a good time to complete those entries and be part of this season-long competition, which will give you two team results in each Division to look out for all season.
