A new list of dates for the 2022 competitions traditionally included in the Blackpool Waterloo programme has been published. Not a lot of details along with these dates but the assumption is that these are the competitions that are to be moved from the now defunct Blackpool Waterloo to the new agreed home of Fleetwood Bowling Club.
At present there is no invitation for bowlers to submit entries for any of these competitions but it is just an attempt to get the dates in the diaries of interested bowlers and real bowling supporters who may be keen to support the shift from Blackpool to Fleetwood.
It would be good if some TV coverage of these competitions could be arranged at this new venue. TV coverage has the obvious advantage of attracting advertising and sponsorship.
Crown green bowling needs as much publicity as possible.
Would it be down to the Fleetwood Club or the BCGBA , or even , a bit of both ?
