Veterans League postpone Monday fixtures

There is no announcement on their website but the Huddersfield Veterans League has postponed all the 6-Man League fixtures on their Bowlsnet pages scheduled for next Monday, the day of the State Funeral. With another 2 weeks after that date before the season closes there is a lot to get in to complete the season. The season has already been extended a week to accommodate the matches postponed because of the heatwave in July.
The Huddersfield Liberal League has a programme of evening fixtures scheduled for Monday and has decided to leave the decision to play or not up to the clubs involved. Their Bowlsnet pages state ....
On Monday 19 September it is the funeral of our late Queen Elizabeth.
Should any club wish to postpone please do so and let us know the rearranged date please. It is entirely at the club's discretion but as a mark of respect if you do play could you hold a minute's silence please.

The Heavy Woollen Afternoon League have decided to leave it up to the clubs to decide if matches go ahead on Monday or not, whilst the Brighouse Veterans League has postponed all their matches for the day of the State Funeral.
