Julie Filler Trophy Semi-Final scorelines don't come any closer than a 60-60 drawn aggregate. That is what we had in the Thongsbridge 'A' v Holmfirth 'A' meeting at Primrose Hill Lib on Friday. In such instances, the deciding factor is the number of games won. Thongsbridge had won 2 of the 3 pairs games so it is them that goes through to the Final to be played at Golcar Lib on Friday 8 September.
The other Semi-Final was more straightforward as Netherton Con beat Division 2 leaders Slaithwaite 65-45.
The two finalists sit together in 6th and 7th positions in the Division 1 table which is exactly where they finished the 2022 season as well. Both have a +2 handicap so we should expect a very close match when they meet.
