The Veterans League Team Knock-Out 2021 competition starts this week as usual involving the top 32 teams as they finished in last season's (2019) league positions. Lockwood Con are defending the title they won then by beating New Mill 'A' in the final at Lindley BC.
The Team KO follows the league match format - 4 Singles and 3 Pairs - with one difference. The outcome is decided on aggregate scores and only if they draw does the number of games won come into play to decide who goes through to the next round. Teams are handicapped based on league positions at the start of the season and matches are played on neutral greens.
Four teams have withdrawn from the competition - Elland C&BC 'A', Rastrick, Slaithwaite and Thorpe Green - so giving byes to Cowcliffe, Brockholes 'B', Kirkheaton C&BC 'A' and Meltham 'A'.
