Sub-Team KO Semi-Finals

Veterans League

Linthwaite Hall can continue their excellent first season back in the Veterans League by progressing in the Sub-Team KO this Thursday. They have a semi-final tie with fellow Division 3 team Springwood but that is where the similarities end. Linthwaite are 12 points clear at the top of the table whereas Springwood sit in the 2nd relegation place. They have played each other twice this season already, the last time on Tuesday of this week, and Linthwaite have come out on top both times.

The second semi-final features the remaining Division 5 representatives as second in the table Marsh Lib are pitched against Division 3 mid-table outfit Huddersfield Recreation Club. The Recreation Club had a decent start to the season but a run of just one win in their last 7 fixtures has seen them fall down the table. Marsh Lib has a 15-point handicap advantage and that presents a big target for the Recreation Club.

This competition is open to all the 10-Man League teams that finished the 2021 season outside the top 32 places who play in the Team KO. The match format is the same as normal league matches - 4 singles and 3 pairs - but the outcome is decided by the aggregate score and the number of games won only comes into play in the event of a drawn aggregate scoreline.

The Final will be played at Broad Oak on Thursday 15 September.
