Club's insurance price increase

Bowling News

The BCGBA has an arrangement with Endsleigh Insurance about providing Public Liability and Personal Accident Insurance for Clubs and Leagues. It is a requirement of BCGBA Membership that such bodies take out adequate cover and you have the option to source an alternative insurance provider if you wish. You can only get this cover through Endsleigh by applying online here. This service has been offline for a little while but is now back in full service. You need to enter your Club or League BCGBA number to qualify for the discounted price.

The 2021 premium price has increased to £49 from £45 of last year for cover up to £5,000,000. I did a bit of an exercise last year in sourcing an alternative cover provider and eventually coaxed two companies into providing a quote which were both over £100 and were not sport or bowling specific.

There is a link direct from the BCGBA website direct to the Endsleigh portal where you can get a quote and sign-up for cover. Covers lasts for 12 months from 1 May. The full list of key cash benefits for personal injuries can be found here.

If you want to know what is covered for that cost of the premium then that can be found here.
