Veterans League
Preview of the matches to be played in Divisions 3, 4 & 5 of the 10-Man League tomorrow

Skel Windmill's biggest Division 3 defeat of the season was the 1-8 thrashing at Denby Dale in April. They get the opportunity to avenge that when the two teams meet again this Tuesday. Holding down third place, the Dale need every point to put pressure on the top two teams and move into the promotion picture. However, the two teams above them play against the bottom two teams in the table. Golcar Lib 'B' are the leaders and they are away at 2nd from bottom Huddersfield Recreation Club and their nearest challengers are Almondbury Lib who entertain bottom of the pile Meltham 'B'.
Lockwood Con 'B' for all their KO adventures are involved in that relegation fight as well and a trip to play Paddock I&C may not be the opening they crave to reignite their chances of avoiding a second successive relegation. Brockholes 'A' v Slaithwaite matches two out-of-form teams with the Badgers only winning one of their last four fixtures whilst Slaithwaite have suffered three straight losses and are on the fringe of dropping into the relegation mixture.
Another Lindley derby confrontation is on the calendar as the two club's 'A' teams meet up at the Liberal Club whilst just down the road sees Lindley BC 'B' taking on their neighbours and Division 4 leaders, Lindley Lib 'B'. The leaders arrive in good form having won their last 6 matches while the hosts have lost 2 of their last 6 but they haven't lost at home since the opening day of the season. Second from top Springwood go to second from bottom Kirkheaton Con 'B' and 3rd placed Marsh Lib travel to play Thongsbridge 'B' who lost their unbeaten home record in their last home match so will be keen to rectify things.
Three points separate the bottom four teams and two of those four meet at Primrose Hill Lib where Ravensknowle Park are the visitors. Both teams are in decent form with the Park on a run of three straight wins following on from a run of only one win in their previous ten. Almondbury BC 'B' are also among that bottom four and have lost their last three matches although their Tuesday opponents, Marsh United 'B' haven't done any better losing their last two matches by the same 1-8 scoreline.
The top two teams in Division 5 are locked together on the same points total although that may be about to change. Milnsbridge 'B' have a match in hand over Brockholes 'B' and this Tuesday they have a home match against bottom-of-the-table Holmfirth 'B'. At the same time the Brockholes team have a more challenging-looking encounter lined up away at Dalton.
David Brown Sports are looking to complete a double over Netherton Con 'B' when the teams meet at the Crosland Moor green tomorrow. That has been their only away win to date. The Netherton team had a boost win last week with a whitewash 9-0 home success over Greenhead Park and they sit in third place at present. They will have to be at the top of their game to get anything from DBS who have won all 6 of their home matches this season and are defending the only unbeaten home record in the division.
New Mill 'B' are the division form team with six straight wins but they still sit in the bottom half of the table but are a dangerous opponent. This week they go to play Broad Oak 'B' who are 10 points behind the top pair and will not want to lose any ground that a home defeat would surely bring. Although sat in the bottom three, Kirkheaton C&BC 'B' and Hemplow 'B' have both tasted success recently and one of them will sample it again tomorrow when the two teams meet at Yetton.
