Review of the results from Divisions 4 & 10 of matches played on Monday 10 November

Primrose Hill Lib are suddenly romping away at the top of the Division 4 table after beating Huddersfield Recreation Club 8-0. The Recreation Club were placed 2nd in the table before this week's fixture and they were only 3 points behind the leaders. However that whitewash scoreline has sent them reeling down the table to 6th position and only three points above the drop zone.
Whereas the homesters of Pip Hill now have an 8-points cushion lead having won 4 of their 5 matches to date. Their case certainly being aided by a surprise defeat for Netherton Con A who went down 2-6 to Linthwaite Hall A. The return to action of the Linthwaite captain appears to have spurred the team on to a good win and they now sit on the same points total as two other teams including Netherton Con A.
Things are quite crowded behind the leader with the chasing pack of five teams only separated by 3 points and led by Elland WMC. The Elland and Milnsbridge B teams both benefited from Netherton Con A slipping up to move above them and into 2nd and 3rd positions. With 6-2 wins over Lindley Lib C and Brockholes A which leaves the two losers occupying the two relegation places.

A first win of the season for Outlane B was a shock for the team on the receiving end of that milestone victory, Hemplow B, who were disposed of the top spot in the Division 10 table as a result. It was a close run outcome with all three legs being well contested to produce a 58-57 aggregate win for the Outlane team and the two bonus points that come with that achievement secured that first win. The Outlane team remains in the relegation places for now but a repeat of that performance in the near future will soon alter their perspective.
The Hemplow team dropped to third position after being overtaken by Thongsbridge and Rastrick who both had good wins this Monday. Thongsbridge take over at the top after condemning Brockholes D to the bottom place after an 8-0 whitewash win. Rastick were pushed all the way by Lindley Lib D before succumbing 2-6. That outcome put Rastrick into 2nd place and means no change for Lindley Lib D who remain 5th.
With Hemplow B losing that leaves three teams with unbeaten records. That is the top two, Thongsbridge and Rastrick, along with Skel Windmill who had a first win when beating Lindley Lib E 6-2 to add to their previous two drawn results. The top four may be evenly spaced out at 2 point intervals but that lends itself to rapid ups and downs which keeps the interest going for more teams.
