Cowcliffe B won the meeting of the top two Division 6 teams as they saw off Brockholes B by 6-2 and opened up a 6-point lead over the rest of the chasing pack still led by Brockholes B.

Hanging Heaton B won their first match of the season with a comprehensive 8-0 win over Netherton Con B who take over at the bottom of the table. Springwood B moved out of the relegation places after beating Outlane B 6-2 and the Springwood C team also won by 6-2 over Almondbury BC A and retain third place as is their right.

None of the top four teams in Division 7 won their League fixtures this week with the leaders, Huddersfield RUFC, having a particularly disappointing result as they were hammered 8-0 by Lockwood Con B who were claiming their first win of the season but they remain in the second relegation place despite that. The Rugby Club's lead over second-placed Kirkheaton Con B has been halved to just four points ahead of the teams meeting next week. The Kirkheaton Con team could have wiped out the entire 8-points gap but were held to a 4-4 draw by Huddersfield Recreation Club B.

The surprise win for Lockwood Con B has left Broad Oak A well adrift at the foot of the table after a 2-6 loss against Marsh Lib A. Third-placed Holmfirth had a real setback to their own promotion hopes when losing to New Mill C who won 6-2 to stay out of the drop zone for now.
