Review of matches played in Divisions 1 & 2 on Tuesday 13 June
Golcar Lib 'A' didn't have a match this week but still find themselves 7 points clear at the top of the Division 1 table. Cowcliffe and Rastrick continue to travel in their slipstream without a real chance of challenging the leaders yet. Cowcliffe had it all on to overcome lowly Longwood 5-4 to provide the biggest threat to the leader's dominance.
Rastrick dismissed Marsh United 'A's faltering challenge inflicting a fourth successive defeat on them as they drop to sixth place. Waterloo were beaten 1-8 at Kirkheaton Con 'A' which enabled Lowerhouses to move up to their highest placing of the season, fourth, after an 8-1 away win at Meltham who were losing for the 5th consecutive match and worryingly 3 of those 5 coming at home which has always been their stronghold.
Only the top three teams in the table have won more matches than Clayton West (six) yet they sit third from bottom and only 2 points ahead of a relegation place. Their latest victory being a 6-3 home win over Lockwood Con 'A'.
There were two 9-0 whitewash scorelines in Division 2 one of those involving the leaders Lindley Lib 'A' who thrashed Thorpe Green to go 8 points clear of Shepley who move into contention after an 8-1 home win over Hemplow 'A'. The second whitewash scoreline was at New Mill where the home team overwhelmed Holmfirth 'A' who now find themselves at the bottom-of-the-table.
Bradley & Colne fielded a full team but could only pick up 2 points from their home fixture with Lindley BC 'A' but that was sufficient to lift them off of bottom spot. That Lindley BC win was the only away team success of the day in Division 2 as Linthwaite Hall and Broad Oak 'A' both collected 6-3 home wins over Thongsbridge 'A' and Almondbury BC 'A' respectively.
