A new bowler with the Altrincham Borough Bowling Club has started an online blog (record) about his introduction to competitive crown green bowling.
Paul Harper is a writer and has recently taken up bowling after realising that he can't play football forever. So he is relatively young in bowling terms and has just taken up the sport but has also made himself available for competitive matches right from the outset. Is that wise?
This blog is his story of how he progresses and he is keeping a record of how many matches he has played and won (Played 3 Won 0) as his story continues. Not sure if this story is going to have a happy ending or not but some of you might find this of interest and may be able to relate to some of Paul's experiences.
