Mirfield League

Two more weeks of the Mirfield League season and we take a look at what can and can't be confirmed this week?

DIVISION 1 Title: The tussle for the Division 1 title will go on for at least another week regardless of the outcome of this week's matches.

Relegation: Ossett Flying Horse 'A' could be relegated this week if they lose heavily away at Lower Hopton 'A'. The second relegation place will remain unfilled for another week.

With two matches on Tuesday for Lower Hopton 'A' and Ossett Flying Horse 'A' matters could be resolved at both ends of the table although it is more likely that the race for the title will go to the final week as will the second relegation place. OFH will probably be relegated if they fail to win at least one of their Tuesday matches.

DIVISION 2

Title: Kirkheaton Con 'A' will clinch the title if they collect 16 points from their last 2 matches.

Promotion: Kirkheaton Con 'A' will be promoted if they score 7 more points than Woodlands Park. Alverthorpe 'A' will be promoted if they score 4 more points than Woodlands Park in Tuesday's matches.

Relegation: The Harold Club could be relegated this week if all results go against them

DIVISION 3

Title: Shipley will be title winners if they get 19 points from their last two matches.

Promotion: This is likely to go to the final week of the season.

Relegation: Milnsbridge 'A' and Horbury WMC are both already relegated.

DIVISION 4:

Title: Nothing can be decided this week as the leaders are without a match.

Promotion: Thornhill C&BC are already promoted. Farsley will be promoted if they win 11-1 away at Kirkheaton Con 'B' this week.

Relegation: It is possible for any 2 of the bottom 7 teams still to be relegated

DIVISION 5:

Title: Morton House are Division 5 Champions

Promotion: Nothing can be decided this week as regards the 2nd promotion place.

Relegation: Cowcliffe need to match this week's points totals of The Harold Club 'B' and Marsh United to stave off relegation for another week.

Three teams - Longwood, Lockwood Con & Alverthorpe - can still get promoted or relegated.

DIVISION 6:

Title: Thongsbridge 'B' need 11 points from their final 2 matches to guarantee the title.

Promoted: Thongsbridge 'B' need 2 points to secure promotion.

Relegation: Milnsbridge 'B' are relegated.

DIVISION 7:

Title: Shepley have won the Division 7 title

Promotion: The second promotion place is guranteed to go to Royds Park if they win 10-0 at Shepley in their final match this Tuesday. Springwood 'A' need to match the Royds Park points total from this week's match to take the final promotion place race through to the last week.
