There were two in-house 'derby' fixtures this week and both went the way of the club's respective A teams. The first of these came in Division 1 at Lower Hopton where the in-house bragging-rites went to the A team courtesy of a 9-3 scoreline but with two of those wins being to 20 then things were almost very different. The four matches in the top division all went the way of the home teams with Thongsbridge A seeing off Crosland Moor 9-3 to go clear at the top of the early table. Wins for Littlemoor A and Ossett Flying Horse A completed Week 2 as the Pudsey v Dearne Sports match was rained off.

There was also a postponed match in Division 2 as the Crossgates B v Eccleshill fixture also fell victim to the weather. Kirkheaton Cons go to the top of the early table following their 8-4 away win at Brighouse Sports with Woodlands Park and Spen Victoria also preserving their 100% records to go 2nd and 3rd.

After an opening day white-wash win for Rothwell last week they came down to earth this week with a 4-8 home reversal against Dodworth WMC and the two teams are 1 and 2 in the updated Division 3 table with Dodworth having a 4-point lead. Horbury WMC suffered a second consecutive heavy loss when going down 3-9 at home to a Cleckheaton side playing their first match of the season. There were big home first wins for Shipley and Elland C&BC and they are locked together on 12 points in mid-table.

In Division 4 the Kirkheaton Con B v Ossett Flying Horse B didn't conclude due to a partial floodlight failure and Broad Oak A's 10-2 away win at Denby Grange B saw them open up a 3-point lead at the top of the table. Farsley and Lowerhouses were the other winners in that division.

Almondbury Lib and Heckmondwike battled out a 5-5 draw locked together in their Division 5 match with a 142- 142 aggregate tie. Alverthorpe B and Morton House both had good away wins to extend their 100% records and claim the top two positions in this division.

Rastrick came down to earth following their opening day white-wash win when losing 3-7 at Bradley & Colne. That allowed Thongsbridge B to pass them and take over the leading position in Division 6 with Golcar Lib and Thorpe Green A being the other divisional winners this week.

The in-house tussle between the two Springwood teams in Division 7 went the way of the A side coming out on top 8-2 whilst Shepley go top of the table after their 7-3 home win over Thorpe Green B.
