Milnsbridge on the move to 2nd place

Review of the Division 5 fixtures played on Wednesday 18 December at Lindley Lib

The bottom two teams switched positions after their match on Wednesday but both remain desperately in trouble. Springwood B won the match 6-2 to inch past relegation rivals Almondbury BC A but a 15-point gap to close looks a step too far for these two teams this season. That was the first win that either team had secured this season and it may be a while before either does the trick again.

Lindley Lib C continue on track for the title after an 8-0 win over Kirkheaton C&BC A and they now have a 12 points lead over 2nd placed Milnsbridge C who are the form team in the Division as they move up two places to 2nd this week. They have won their last three fixtures by the same 8-0 scoreline with Jackson Bridge being on the wrong end of that score this week. That means that Milnsbridge C are unbeaten in their last 7 matches. With promotion rivals Elland WMC slipping up against Paddock I&C going down 2-6 and dropping a place to 3rd and 4 points off the second promotion place.
