Veterans 10-Man League
The 2021 Final of the Bistro Knock-Out will be between Marsh United 'A' and Cowcliffe after both negotiated Semi-Final matches yesterday.
Cowcliffe beat Section 2 leaders Kirkheaton Con 'A' by 89-82 whilst the Marsh United side beat fellow Section 1 team Waterloo by 98-76.
Marsh United are three-times winners of this competition the last time being in 2018 whilst Cowcliffe have never won this or any other 10-Man League knock-out competition. The two teams will meet at Brockholes on 23 September.
All the signs are that we are in for a close encounter as currently the teams are separated by just 4 points in the league table with Cowcliffe in 6th place and Marsh United 8th. They have already met twice this season in league matches and both were won by the home team. Marsh winning their home game by 7-2 and the return at Cowcliffe going to the hosts 5-4 with a 134-134 aggregate draw.
