With just three weeks gone in the Division 4 fixture programme and all eight teams have tasted victory and defeat with no 100% win or losing records showing. Add to that is the fact that there are only 7 points between the top and bottom teams makes it a real level exercise with everything to play for. Take a look at the records of top-of-the-table Primrose Hill Lib and 6th placed Linthwaite Hall A. Both teams have a Won-2 Lost-1 records but there are 6 places between them. It really is a very close contest involving all eight teams at present.

Primrose Hill Lib are the third different team to head the table already this season and they will do well to hold on to that after Monday's clash with 3rd placed Milnsbridge B. Linthwaite Hall A have a good opportubity to close the gap on the top teams when they play Elland WMC who are one of only two teams below them in the table.

Lindley Lib C are the other team struggling at present and they will have to beat Netherton Con A this Monday is they are to move out of the drop zone. Huddersfield Recreation Club are 2nd in the table and they play Brockholes A who are one of four teams sat on 12 points in mid-table.

It is very early days in the Division 10 7-Week Mini-League at Lindley Lib but two teams who meet up this week look strong title contenders to me. Rastrick sit at the top of the table after an emphatic opening day 8-0 win over Lindley Lib E on their own green. Last week Skel Windmill and Thongsbridge shared the points in a 4-4 drawn match. I always thought that the Thongsbridge team looked a strong one for this level so the fact that the Skel team drew with them makes them a team to be reckoned with as well. We will find much more about the strength of the Skel and Rastrick teams after this Monday's meeting.

Outlane B will be looking to bounce back from an opening day whitewash defeat but they will have to be on their toes when they take on a Thongsbridge team looking to secure a first win of the season. Lindley Lib D and Hemplow B both had good first-day wins last week and sit in 2nd and 3rd positions so they have every incentive when they face each other as the winners are likely to be at least sat in 2nd place at the end of the day. The Brockholes D versus Lindley Lib E encounter completes the week 2 fixture programme for Division 10 teams.
