Lockwood Con bowler is national Champion

Congratulations to 19-years-old Chloe Hirst for winning the BCG Ladies ‘All England’ Senior Merit title on Sunday at Brighouse Sports.

Chloe overcame a strong field to lift the trophy, coming from behind several times in her earlier games and winning the final 21-20 against her Mid-Cheshire opponent.

Chloe bowls for Lockwood Cons in the Huddersfield Ladies League. Yorkshire had six bowlers in the 64 starting line-up but by the end of the third round only Chloe was still in contention representing the host county.

She has now qualified for the BCGBA Champion of Champions competition to be staged on Sunday 25th September at Heaton Park, Greater Manchester.
