We have already reported on the outcome of the 10th year of the Lindley BC Open with a new name added to the trophy this year. Left-handed Halifax bowler Gareth Coates takes the title in impressive style beating 14/1 outsider Nicky White 21-17 in the Final.

Little was Gareth to know that this was just a start of a most remarkable weekend for him as the following day he went on to win the All England Senior Merit at Dodworth.
