Plenty of bottom of the table interest

Veterans League

Preview of the 6-Man League fixtures scheduled for Monday 28 June

The Top 5 Division 1 teams are kept apart this week but we do have two teams in the bottom three playing each other in what may be a final chance for Thongsbridge A to move up on the pack of four teams just above the relegation places. Shepley host this key match against the Thongsbridge A team who would dearly love to reduce the 8-point gap between the two teams.

Denby Dale have lost their last four Division 2 fixtures to sink into the relegation places and they have a difficult-looking morning match against Lockwood Con who remain on the tail of the top two teams, New Mill A and Brockholes A. New Mill are the leaders and they will expect to beat bottom-half-of-the-table Milnsbridge B. Brockholes A have to travel to play Golcar Lib A. Brockholes B are in the relegation mix and meet fellow strugglers Longwood with just three points between the two teams.

Thongsbridge B hold the only 100% win record in the League this season and they will expect to extend that run into double figures when they host Golcar Lib B. They have an eight-point lead over Hemplow A at the top of the Division 3 table who have an away game at Broad Oak B. One point separates the bottom three teams and two of those meet up this Monday. Elland C&BC are at home to Primrose Hill Lib with the losers destined to be in a relegation place

The New Mill club is having a good 6-Man League season with their A team at the top of Division 2 and their B team in the same position in Division 4. The B side will hope to retain top spot after Monday's match against a Meltham side sitting in third place.

The bottom two teams go up against each other and Brockholes D will be hoping to open their winning account when hosting Shepley B with a 10.30am start time.
