Last 16 in Bistro line up this Thursday

Round 3 of the 2022 Bistro KO will be played this Thursday on neutral greens as the last 16 sort out the 8 quarter-finalists. The format of this competition - 5 Pairs, handicapped and aggregate totals deciding the winners tends to bring more than its share of surprise results.

Shepley, Linthwaite Hall and Skel Windmill all eliminated Division 1 opponents in the last round and will look to continue that form as the first named two once again have the opportunity to claim a Division 1 scalp as they meet Lindley Lib 'A' and Waterloo respectively.

The 2021 title winners, Marsh United 'A' were eliminated by Linthwaite Hall in the last round so it is now up to their 'B' team to carry the club's hopes further as they have a 20-handicap start on Cowcliffe. There are 6 Division 1 teams still in the hunt for the 2022 title and with no all-Division 1 clash there is every chance of all 6 progressing through to the quarter-finals, or alternatively none at all!

The biggest handicap deficit to be overcome is down to Longwood who have to catch up 36 points from the 5 pairs matches over their Division 5 opponents David Brown Sports. That is over 7 points per match or ask each of their five pairs to win 21-14 or better. That's a big ask.
