Ladies Works League
Review of results for matches played 14-18 June Preview of matches to be played 21-25 June
Only 4 match results on Bowslnet this week to report on but one of those was a Division 2 notable first. A first win for the new team from personaliseHR who christened their Springwood green with a two-point win (150-148) over Colne Valley Garden Centre. That aggregate total was a season best for the new team and that win enabled them to leapfrog their opponents into fourth position. In the same division two unbeaten records went head-to-head at Paddock I&C where Holmes Dresser used home advantage to good effect when beating Paul's Kitchens by 137-130 and at the same time swapping places with them and going second.
There were two matches in Division 1 played last week and one of them saw Brook Hansen 'A' continue their winning start to the season when they were pushed all the way by the Huddersfield Recreation Club but eventually came through with a very close 138-132 aggregate win. Despite that defeat the Recreation Club go second in the table although Brook Hansen 'A' and Alicia Dawn Photography are within striking range behind them but both have a game in hand of them. The other fixture saw Bolster Moor Farm Shop beat Strait Kutz Hairdressers 144-118 to take closer order on second-placed Alicia Dawn Photography.
Two of the three unbeaten records in the League are on the line on Monday, one in each division. In Division 1 leaders Atkinson's Butchers meet Bolster Moor Farm Shop whilst in Division 2 Holmes Dresser are only second despite winning all four of their matches so will be looking to push up their aggregate total when visiting Colne Valley Garden Centre. Also in Division 2 sees Brook Hansen 'B' taking on Paul's Kitchens away on their Bradley & Colne green when the hosts will be eager to bounce back from their own first defeat of the season last week whilst the leaders D Haigh & Co will expect to have to be on their best form to quell the advances of Pearce Displays. Back in Division 1 Brook Hansen 'A' will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to five matches when they travel to play PEG Perego who are still looking for their first win of the season.
