Preview of the fixtures scheduled for Thursday 13 November in Divisions 6 & 7

It is early days in the Division 6 season but we already have a couple of promotion candidates shooting ahead in the table as the B teams from Brockholes and Cowcliffe set a good pace at the top. Both have two wins from two matches, whilst the rest of the teams have all dropped some points. The only things separating the two teams is a slightly different 'Aggregate For' total (106-104) which gives the Brockholes team the current advantage. The two title chasers are both playing Springwood teams this week.
Springwood C have almost a monopoly of third position in the Division over the past two years and is where they sit today. They play the team just above them in the table, Cowcliffe B. The Springwood B side take on the current leaders, Brockholes B.
Four points separate the 6 teams behind the top two and anything can happen with the teams so close in proximity it only needs a win to tip the balance the way of any of these teams.

We have a top versus bottom fixture this Thursday in Division 7 as the leaders and host club, Huddersfield RUFC, play Broad Oak A who are still looking for their first win of the season. As are Lockwood Con B who take on Kirkheaton Con B who dropped out of the promotion places last week when getting whitewashed by the leaders.
An interesting meeting of the teams in 2nd and 3rd positions as Marsh Lib A look to retain their 2-point lead over Holmfirth whilst New Mill C and Huddersfield Recreation Club go up against each other and hope to stave off a drop into the relegation places by clocking up a win this week.
