The Yorkshire Juniors are the national BCGBA Champions after completing beating all three opponents in the competition this year. The latest success being the biggest of the year with a 462-322 aggregate win over Staffordshire.
The away leg saw a remarkable 11-1 game win for the Yorkshire side and only losing the twelfth game 20-21. The home team were at Lindley BC and provided 7 of the 12 winners on a really fast green to add to the traditional challenge that the green offers all bowlers.
As Lindley BC stalwart Bill Blackburn noted 'This was all that is best in crown green bowling, played on a lightning-fast green with both sides cheered on by their supporters and the youngsters producing some excellent bowling, and played in a good spirit. Well done to both sides'.
