Veterans League
This Friday it is the Semi-Finals of the Julie Fuller Trophy which is the team knock-out competition for the 6-man teams. The format is 3 pairs with the aggregate score determining the winner with the game score only coming into effect in the event of a drawn aggregate scoreline.
The Thongsbridge v Holmfirth match sees two teams in contest who have never won this competition in the 21 years that it has been played for. In contrast in the other semi-final both teams are previous winners of this title - Netherton Con in 2003 and 2006 whereas Slaithwaite have a more recent claim as they lifted the title only 2 years ago in 2021.
