The final of the Lindley BC £2600 was played on Friday evening. Eight top bowlers featured in the quarter-finals with Jack Dyson and Wayne Moseley progressing through those and then the semi-finals to go head-to-head for the top prize.
Many congratulations to Jack Dyson after supporting the competition from 2015 he has at last won it. He was a best price 5/2 second favourite to collect the trophy at the start of the evening. Commiserations to Wayne Moseley a worthy finalist.
Jack & Wayne shared the high break prize of £50 with breaks of 14.
Jack is having a great season having already won the Huddersfield Spring Handicap and followed that up by taking the Yorkshire Merit to qualify for the BCGBA Senior Individual Merit which was being played in Barrow-in-Furness yesterday (Saturday 30 July). Jack wasn't the only Lindley finalist destined for an early morning start to be in Cumbria for a 1 0.00am start time as Callum Wraight was also in the line-up. A full report on that competition will appear here later today.
