The top two teams in Division 3 meet this week as the new leaders, Huddersfield Recreation Club 'A', face deposed leaders Brockholes 'A'. It has been a bad 3 weeks for Brockholes after leading the title race for most of the season they have lost their last 3 matches by the same 2-6 scoreline. When the two teams met in October the Brockholes side ran out 8-0 winners.
They could certainly do with a return to that sort of form if they are to reignite their title charge with Rastrick closing in on them and with eyes on that second promotion spot. A match against lowly Paddock I&C 'A' certainly provides them with the platform to push on to greater things this week.
After completing a League double over Brockholes and also beating the other top two team, Huddersfield Recreation Club 'A', the Dalton side went right off the boil when losing to Thorpe Green 'B' last week condemning them to mid-table obscurity. This week they play Springwood 'B' who are bottom-of-the-table and desperate for points in their bid to avoid relegation.
Almondbury BC 'A' are another team deep in the relegation mire and this week they face the Division's form team in Thorpe Green 'B' who have won their last three matches by the same 6-2 scoreline.
