Golcar C&BC incurred a 20-point penalty for declining promotion last season.

Hemplow A storm away at the top of the latest Division 8 table after a great 8-0 win over Cowcliffe C which condemned the losers to bottom place after dropping two places and they are four points adrift of safety. The Hemplow team were aided in opening a 12-point lead over the rest of the teams as their two closest rivals both surprisingly lost their Tuesday fixtures. Second-placed Lockwood Con C went down 2-6 to Mirfield B but hung on to second place after Broad Oak B also lost 2-6 but this was to Meltham B, who were collecting their first win of the season and moved out of the relegation places as a result.

Golcar C&BC were the big winners of the day beating Linthwaite Hall B 8-0 to swap 7th to 5th places with their opponents. So last year's Division 8 Champions continue to defy their 20-point penalty for declining promotion and are on a steady climb up the table.

There was another table-topper storming away from the Division 9 chasing pack after Greenhead Park opened up an 8-point lead. This was greatly helped by the outcome of the derby match between the two Kirkheaton C&BC teams. The B team beat their C team club colleagues by 8-0 to totally avenge an opening day 2-6 loss and they move up one place to 4th spot as a result. The Kirkheaton C&BC C team managed to hang on to 2nd place despite that defeat but they are now 8-points behind Greenhead Park who beat Almondbury BC C 6-2.

There have been three 4-4 draws in Division 9 this season and Marsh Lib B have been involved in all of them but not this week. They clocked up a League double over Brockholes C beating them 6-2 and condemning them to another week without a win and still at the foot of the table. Kirkheaton Con C won the other Division 9 fixture and this was against Mirfield C by 6-2 but still drop one place and into the bottom half of the table.
