A review of the results of matches in Divisions 6&7 played on Thursday 13 November

Almondbury BC A won a Division 6 fixture for the first time this season in impressive style when beating the homesters of Netherton Con B by 8-0. That result lifted the winners out of the bottom place and move into the top half of the table.
The two leaders carried on regardless as both clocked 6-2 wins over Springwood teams to continue their march towards the two promotion places. That left the two Springwood teams dropping down the table and means that the 3 teams immediately behind the leaders all lost this week. Despite that the top two of Brockholes B and Cowcliffe C remain with the same points gap of 4 points ahead but the main threat to them now comes from Outlane A who registered a 6-2 win over bottom-of-the-table Hanging Heaton B. The Hanging Heaton side have still to come to terms with a higher division of bowling after their promotion from Division 7 last season.

Broad Oak A punched above their weight against the Division 7 leaders, Huddersfield RUFC, before going down 2-6 but this was an improved performance which shows grounds for recovery. With Marsh Lib A losing their match against Holmfirth 2-6 it saw them drop two places to 4th and both teams were overtaken by Kirkheaton Con B who registered a first whitewash scoreline when beating Lockwood Con B 8-0 who stay in the second relegation place for now.
Huddersfield Recreation Club B bounced back from their 0-8 defeat last week by the leaders to see off New Mill C 6-2 and so move above them in the table.
