Review of the results in Divisions 4 & 10 from Monday 24 November

The final round of fixtures to complete the first half of the Division 4 season didn't turn out as expected with the top two teams both getting thrashed by mid-table opponents. The leaders, Primrose Hill Lib, going down 0-8 to Linthwaite Hall A and Netherton Con losing to the same scoreline to Milnsbridge B. Both losing teams lost ground as Primrose Hill Lib lost top spot and drop to second whilst Netherton Con drop from second to 5th place.

That opened the door for Elland WMC to take full advantage and go top after beating Huddersfield Recreation Club A 6-2 who immediately drop into the bottom place. So Elland compete the first half of the season top of the table courtesy of a better Aggregate Difference score (45-15) than the homesters from Primrose Hill Lib. Milnsbridge B and Linthwaite Hall A both move up a place as a result of their big wins to take 3rd and 4th places respectively.

The meeting of two of the bottom three teams went the way of Brockholes A who beat Lindley Lib C 6-2 to move clear of the dropzone, whilst the losers moved off the bottom of the table.

There was also a big shock in the Division 10 results when the leaders, Thongsbridge, went down 2-6 to 4th placed Hemplow B, a first defeat of the season for them and they lost top billing as a result and opened the way ahead for Rastrick. The Rastrick team taking over the lead at the top of the table after beating Outlane B 8-0.

Brockholes D in bottom place and still looking for their first win of the season created a stir by drawing 4-4 with title chasers Skel Windmill who drop to 4th place after being overtaken by Hemplow B. A close Aggregate For score (58-57) determining the bonus points destination. The Lindley derby encounter went the way of Lindley Lib D who beat their clubmates in the E team by 6-2 to move above them in the table.
