Preview of the Wednesday fixtures in Divisions 3&5
PAIRS KO 2025-26 The first entry deadline for bowlers into the Pairs KO competition is looming this coming Friday 28 November with the Qualifying Round for Division 3 bowlers being played on Friday 5 December. Full details and Online Entry Form

Top Two Tussle in Division 3. The leaders, Slaithwaite, meet second-placed Lindley Lib B this Wednesday as the fixtures reach the halfway point of the season. After this week, each team in each division will have played every other team in the same division so there should be no surprises in store for any team thereafter.
Slaithwaite have only lost one match to date and that was against Almondbury BC B when they were on top of their game and top of the table. They have faltered in their last two matches and may have a bit of work to do in getting back to winning ways when meeting Denby Dale this week. If the Denby Dale side hadn't incurred a 10-point penalty for Declining Promotion last season they would have been top of the table on the same points total as Slaithwaite but with a better 'Aggregate For' total.
The relegation issue seems to rest between three teams and two of those three clash this Wednesday. Springwood A take on Lockwood Con A in what could be a close encounter with plenty at stake. The other team in that drop zone mix is Lindley BC B who are bottom of the pile having lost all six of their fixtures to date. This week they take on Thorpe Green C who, although lying in 4th place, are only six points off top spot so there is plenty to play for.

Division 5 is two divisions in one. The top three teams are only separated by 2 points but are al least 8 points ahead of the bottom five teams who in turn are only separated by a maximum of 4 points. This week the top three all play against lower-half teams with the leaders, Mirfield A, taking on the best-of-the-rest team Dalton. Second from top plays second from bottom as Mirfield Old Bank take on Paddock I&C. That leaves third-placed Jackson Bridge lining up against Milnsbridge C.
