Six points for Meltham from their final two matches should clinch the Division 2 title for them and they could claim enough to be crowned top team this Wednesday when they take on Springwood 'A' They have won their last 5 matches by a 6-2 scoreline and a repeat of that will see them claim the title. A repeat of last December's 6-2 scoreline in the reverse fixture will also be sufficient for Meltham to receive the trophy prior to matches starting on the final day of the season however Springwood may have something to say about that.

A win this week for Thorpe Green 'B' against bottom-of-the-table Paddock I&C will go a long way to securing Division 2 bowling for next season. Huddersfield Recreation Club 'A' really need a win this week when they play Jackson Bridge to keep alive any hope they have of staving off relegation and the mid-table clash of Almondbury BC and Denby Dale may look meaningless to all but the teams involved who will both be pushing for the win with one point separating the teams at present.
