Review of the Division 1 fixtures played on Wednesday 3 December

The Division 1 leaders Thorpe Green A lost for the first time this season when going down 2-6 to Lower Hopton who move into second-place. The gap between the top two is now 7 points as previous second-placed Cowcliffe also lost this Wednesday. They went down 2-6 to Hanging Heaton A who retain their interest in the title chase as a result of that win.
The biggest winners of the day were Lindley BC A who hit Golcar Lib for 8-0 and appear to be recovering with a second winning round after a three-match losing run is put behind them. In the other fixture New Mill A beat Kirkheaton Con A 6-2 to stay above their rivals who seem to have settled for the second relegation place.
