The top four teams in Division 1 take on the bottom four teams when your head tells you the results are a forgone conclusion but we all know that counts for little as the season warms up. Thorpe Green A continue to set the pace at the top of the table and have to face a New Mill A team who have made a slow start to the season by their standards. You really have to be on top of your game when the reigning Division 1 Champions are your opponents and they have the division's only 100% win record after the first four fixtures.

Cowcliffe had an unblemished record until meeting the leaders last week and they will expect to bounce back to winning form when taking on bottom-of-the-table Golcar Lib this week. It remains a mystery why the Golcar team struggles so much at this level. They first entered the League in 2023 and on their past record in the Veterans League were put in Division 1. They only won 4 of their 16 fixtures and were relegated and swapped places with Cowcliffe going in the opposite direction. They immediately bounced back and are plying their trade once again in Division 1 but have lost all four of their matches to date. Maybe this week will see the start of their revival.

Hanging Heaton A recovered from their defeat to the Champions with a good win last week and will be aiming to continue their fight back when taking on a Lindley BC A side searching for a second win of the season as are Kirkheaton Con A who meet Lower Hopton to complete this week's fixture programme.
