Thorpe Green A continue to lead from the front in their defence of the Division 1 title that they claimed for a second successive year last February. Five straight wins couldn't have been a better start to the season for them with the latest being an 8-0 trouncing of the New Mill A team which puts the Champions 9 points ahead of their nearest challenger. That continues to be Cowcliffe A who continue to battle above their weight with a 6-2 win over Golcar Lib to retain 2nd place in the table.

Hanging Heaton had a setback this Wednesday to any aspirations they still held towards a 3rd consecutive division title. They have won the Division 3 title in their first year in the League. Then last year walked away with the Division 2 title and were aiming to give it their best shot in collecting a third successive title-winning season. However that went a little astray this week when going down 2-6 to Lindley BC A who were 2nd to bottom when the teams took to the green. After that result the Lindley team moved up two places to 5th whilst Hanging Heaton dropped down one to 4th and 14 points behind the leader.

Lower Hopton's slow start to the season finally seems to be over as they collected a third consecutive win. This time over Kirkheaton Con A by 6-2 and they go third in the table.
